International Newsletter Christmas 2015

NEWSLETTER INTERNATIONAL, 3rd Edition, Christmas 2015 24.12.2015
Dear friends,

And so another year is over, a year in which Eintracht Frankfurt were very busy on the international stage.

In January the senior squad spent their winter training camp in Abu Dhabi for the third time. Excellent conditions in which to train and perfect weather laid the foundations for a successful start to the second half of the Bundesliga season. Various activities during their stay, such as the Eintracht Soccer School, helped to forge close links in the region.

Eintracht’s international players were again exemplary ambassadors for the club at tournaments around the world this year. Carlos Zambrano was unlucky to miss out on the final as Peru finished fourth at the Copa America. Timothy Chandler also managed fourth place with the US team at the Gold Cup.

Marc Stendera was one of the tournament’s outstanding players at the U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.

Heinz Lindner and Haris Seferovic qualified for the EURO 2016 finals in France with Austria and Switzerland respectively.

In August Eintracht took on FC Tokyo in the Frankfurt Main Finance Cup in front of a sell-out crowd at the Commerzbank-Arena, a game that served as a dress rehearsal for the new Bundesliga season. The fixture also provided a welcome opportunity to strengthen the contacts with Japan, and not just at board level.

Our youth teams represented the club successfully in Mexico and Qatar, for example. In Dallas the Under-15s secured a coveted tournament win against FC Dallas.

The Eintracht Frankfurt Soccer School educated coaches in China, Abu Dhabi and South Africa and passed on their football expertise to the pupils with enjoyment and commitment.

We wish you a happy festive period and a successful start to the new year and sincerely hope that our friendly association with you will continue throughout 2016.

Yours sincerely,

Heribert Bruchhagen (CEO)

Eintracht will travel to Abu Dhabi

Eintracht Frankfurt will travel to Abu Dhabi from 4 to 13 of January 2016 in order to prepare for the second season half of Bundesliga, as they did in the recent three years. The visit to the Emirate is coupled with the desire to lift the team up another level to ensure they start the second half of the season as well as they did last season.

During the training camp various activities will strengthen the relationships within the region and the partnerships with a number of local players.

The Eintracht Frankfurt Football Academy – lead by Charly Körbel – will run training camps for students and youngsters; in collaboration with the Daman insurance company. A couple of test matches in the Emirates will also be held, the times are yet to be announced.
