Eintracht is in sixth place with 60,000 associates among the Bundesliga clubs with the largest number of members

The growth of Eintracht Frankfurt continues unabated. This can be seen, among other things, in the rapid increase in the number of members. It was not until the end of January that President Peter Fischer was able to announce the historic mark of 50,000 members at the general meeting. About eight months later a further 10,000 people signed a membership application. With now 60,000 club members Eintracht Frankfurt lies in the comparison of the clubs of the first federal league on the sixth place.

In the run-up to the home match against Leipzig, the 60,000th member was honoured by the club president Peter Fischer, board member Axel Hellmann and the chairwoman of the honorary council Ilse Bechthold. Verena Stork had registered as a member of the fan and promotion department in mid-September. With the kick-off of the game, the association also thanked all members for their support and loyalty with numerous digital campaigns and a broad-based campaign. Currently, only FC Bayern Munich, FC Schalke 04, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach and VfB Stuttgart are ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.

The mark of 60,000 members is pleasing, but is by no means the end of the story. “Within three and a half years we were able to double our membership. We now want to maintain the high speed, because further potential around our wonderful association is definitely available. I thank expressly all members for the fact that they hold our association in good times as in bad times the loyalty , so association president Peter Fischer.

“The club members are the basis of Eintracht Frankfurt. The enormous number of 60,000 shows how important membership has become for the people in the region. But the rapid growth also shows that Eintracht Frankfurt does a lot for its members. The fact that we broke the 60,000-member barrier shortly before our home match against Leipzig is not free of a certain piquancy,” says board member Axel Hellmann.
