H.E. Bishop Paul Hinder, OFM Capuchin, Vicar Apostolic

On September 20, 2015 became H.E. Bishop Paul Hinder, OFM capuchin and Vicar Apostolic in the Apostolic Vicariate (also known as Vicariate Apostolic) of Southern Arabia our honorary member!

We have known him since 2008 from a diplomatic reception. We got immediately fascinated by his unique personality. To his carrier we can say that after specialized studies in Canon Law in Munich he obtained his Doctorate in Theology in 1976. He was active in the formation of young Capuchins, later as provincial in Switzerland and than as General Councillor in Rome for the worldwide Capuchin Order.

The Imperial Crypt in Austria’s capital Vienna is managed by his monastics since centuries. It is a real mystical place. If someone wants peace for himself and also to have some meditation about the meaning and sense of life and the death then he should spend some time there.

Bishop Paul is a member of the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant Peoples, a consultor to the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue. He is also a member of the Conference of the Latin Bishops of the Middle East.

However, His Excellency’s motto is: Justitia et pax et gaudium (justice and peace and joy). The Bedu’s can definitely agree with this, well done Excellency with your choice! You know, gaudeamus igitur …

What a coincident, that H.E. Bishop Paul is a fellow countryman from Haris Seferović, a professional footballer who plays for us and the Swiss national team, too.

The Switzerland players celebrate after winning their friendly international match against Brazil
Hopp Schwiiz!

H.E. Bishop Paul especially loves kids and families from the bottom of his full heart. Therefore our families and certainly our Eintracht are in very best hands by the Lord through him. We are much obligated to the Almighty that H.E. Bishop Paul is right now also our Bedu Paul!
